The part number 004302440600 (also written as 004-302-4406-00) belongs to the Paramount Water Valve 4-Port Gear Module. This is a drop-in replacement gear unit used in Paramount residential in-floor pool cleaning systems, including PCC 2000, Pool Valet, PV3, Cyclean, Vanquish, and Vantage.
When to Replace the Module

Because there are no individual internal parts sold separately, you must replace the entire module. It is time for a replacement if you notice any of these common issues:
  • Stuck cycles: The water valve stays locked on the exact same cleaning zone without cycling through the pool.
  • Multiple active zones: More than one zone or circuit in the pool is pressurized and popped up at the exact same time.
  • Broken internal components: Inspection reveals rocks, debris, or damaged gears, or the internal piston assemblies fail to snap cleanly back into place.
Product Specifications & Kit Contents

  • Included Components: The kit typically bundles the one-piece 4-Port Water Valve Module alongside a brand new valve shell base O-ring.
  • Operation: Fully mechanical and hydraulic. It uses the natural water flow from your pool pump to automatically rotate and distribute water to the floor nozzles without requiring any electricity.
  • Testing Note: New modules are routinely pressure-tested at the factory before packaging. Finding residual water inside the sealed shipping bag is standard practice and confirms the unit was verified before leaving the warehouse.
Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

Replacing the pop-in/pop-out gear unit is straightforward and requires minimal tools:
  1. Turn off the power: Ensure the main pool pump and filtration system are completely shut off so the lines are not under pressure.
  2. Remove the band clamp: Unscrew the securing knob or bolt on the external retaining band clamp and set it aside.
  3. Take off the dome lid: Pop the protective top dome lid straight off the water valve base.
  4. Remove the old module: Pull the faulty gear module straight up and out of the valve base.
  5. Insert the new module: Drop the replacement module directly into the base shell. Note that the housing layout is non-directional, meaning it will function flawlessly regardless of its rotational position. Just ensure the alignment pins on the bottom sit cleanly inside the base slots.
  6. Swap and lube the O-ring: Remove the old rubber shell seal, clear out any grit, install the fresh included O-ring, and apply a light coat of silicone pool lubricant.
  7. Reassemble the valve: Position the dome lid back over the assembly, wrap the band clamp around the seam, and securely tighten down the clamp knob
